Delivery within the United Kingdom
We currently offer free shipping on orders over £50 within mainland UK, including the Scottish highlands.
We endeavour to send out most orders within one to two working days of receipt. Despatch may be slower at very busy times, in particular before Christmas: please bear this in mind when ordering, and leave sufficient time. You will receive an email that confirms that your parcel has been sent. (Do check your junk folder: we find that these emails are sometimes caught by spam filters.)
Our parcels are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24, or with DPD, depending upon size and weight — both of these services aim (but do not guarantee) to deliver within one working day of despatch. They slow down at busy times. Royal Mail currently deliver Monday to Saturday, but DPD deliver Monday to Friday only.
Delivery to the EU
Unfortunately due to the introduction of the EU GPSR, we have suspended sales to the EU whilst we ensure compliance with the new regulations.

Delivery to the US
​
From 29 August 2025 onwards US customs tariffs and courier handling charges will be payable on any order entering the USA. The tariff is set by the US government, and is 10% of the order value. The courier adds an additional brokerage fee/handling charge for transiting the parcel through US customs.

Delivery to Rest of World
​
Orders to North America, Australia, Japan and New Zealand will be despatched within 48 hours of receipt and should be received within 5 days of being sent, though we cannot guarantee this.
Returns & Refunds
If you are unhappy with your purchase you may return it in its original condition for a refund. Shipping cost will not be refunded. We strongly recommend that all returned items be sent with Delivery Confirmation. If we do not receive your return, we will not be able to issue a refund. If the purchase is made in a currency other than UK Pound, a refund will be based on the daily rate of the date of purchase. Exchanges will be treated as a return and shipping will be charged to send any requested items.
Our policy is applicable for 14 days after order is received. If 14+ days have gone by since receipt, unfortunately we can’t offer you refunds or exchanges. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, contact us at mail@cambridgebooks.co.uk. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Exact exchanges will be made on damaged or defective products. If a product arrives damaged, you must include all original packaging material for insurance purposes. Claims must be made within 14 days of receipt via email to mail@cambridgebooks.co.uk.
Items that are returned to our warehouse as undeliverable by our couriers, or returned after 3 delivery attempts, will be treated as a return. Shipping will be charged again upon the request of an order reshipment. We will try and contact you three times through the email address provided with your order. If 60 days have passed, and we have not received a response from you, your item will be returned to stock and you will be refunded for the product cost, but not the shipping costs, associated with this order.
